Senior PastorJay Therrell, Senior Pastor
Rev. Jay Therrell was appointed the senior pastor of Cape Coral First UMC on July 1, 2008, and his duties include the overall spiritual leadership of our congregation. He's almost a native Floridian and is married to his wife, Kendra. Together they have one son. Before being called to be a pastor, he practiced law for several years with a large firm in Orlando. Pastor Jay attended Presbyterian College, The University of Florida College of Law, The London School of Economics, and Asbury Theological Seminary. He has also served as a congressional aide to a member of Congress and as an aide to a member of the British House of Commons. He enjoys cooking, reading, movies, all things Disney, and spending time with his family in the mountains of North Carolina.

Nako Kellum, Associate PastorAssociate Pastor
Rev. Nako Kellum was appointed the associate pastor of Cape Coral First on July 1, 2008. Her ministry responsibilities include adult spiritual formation, missions and outreach, and new member development - all three of which are ministry passions for her. She came from Japan to the United States to attend Asbury Theological Seminary in 1995, where she met her husband, Edward, and got married in 1997. Edward is the pastor of Pine Island UMC and they have one daughter who likes to sing and dance. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and going to the beach with her family.

John Wilson, Pastor of Visitation

Pastor of Visitation
Rev. John Wilson's ministry began at Cape Coral First in 2001 after concluding 33 years of active ministry with the American Baptist Church in 1999. He married his wife, Marcia, in 1967. They have one daughter, Heather McCoy and one grand-daughter, Madelyn who live in metro-Atlanta. He is blessed to be able to serve God through the ministries of this loving congregation.
