Volunteer Opportunities
Serving in Jesus' name is a natural progression in the life of faith. We believe God uses us to share His love by reaching out and serving people in our community and the world beyond. It’s all a part of God using us to help transform His creation to be more like what He intended it to be. At Cape Coral First we encourage everyone to let the Holy Spirit guide them in this process. We believe that Spirit-driven, gift-based serving is one of the cores of the Christian walk. Please click on one of the links below for more information.
Below are just some of the current volunteer opportunities in which the Holy Spirit may be calling you to participate:
- This year's international mission trip will be to Momostenango, Guatamala in the Mayan Highlands. We will be working on a construction project, a health and hygene project and a children's vacation bible school. Interested? Contact Pastor Nako at nkellum@capecoralfirst.org
- Serving Meals - at Central UMC in Ft. Myers on Wednesday evenings.
- Habitat for Humanity - On the fourth Saturday of each month, Cape Coral First partners with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for deserving people in Lee County. This ministry is open to people of all skill levels. Interested? Email Habitat Ministry Coordinators, Bill and Barb Barbre, at wbarbre@comcast.net.
- Volunteer to work in our nursery! We need volunteers who enjoy children for both Sunday mornings and during the week. All volunteers must meet the requirements of our Child Protection Policy and submit themselves to a criminal background check. Interested?
